Levels 6-10

Once gymnasts have mastered the compulsory levels, they can move on to optional levels. Optional levels allow gymnasts more freedom in choreography, skills, and routine construction. Gymnasts in optional programs often have the opportunity to create routines that showcase their individual strengths and skills, making the sport even more artistic and dynamic.

Optional gymnastics programs usually have higher skill requirements and greater complexity compared to compulsory levels, requiring gymnasts to dedicate more time and effort to training and perfecting their routines. Competitions at the optional level can be more challenging and competitive, as gymnasts are judged not only on the execution of their routines but also on the difficulty and originality of their skills
