A trampoline and tumbling competitive team is a group of gymnasts who train and compete together in the discipline of trampoline and tumbling. These teams are typically organized within gymnastics clubs or organizations that offer trampoline and tumbling programs. This program competes on 3 apparatus consisting of double mini, trampoline, and power-tumbling. This program follows our USA Gymnastics guidelines.
Gymnasts execute a variety of acrobatic skills on the double mini-trampoline, including flips, twists, pikes, layouts, and combinations of these elements. Judges assess the difficulty, execution, height, form, and landing of each skill, as well as the overall performance and presentation of the routine.
On the trampoline event, gymnasts perform routines consisting of a series of acrobatic skills such as somersaults, twists, flips, and combinations of these elements. Judges assess the difficulty, execution, form, height, and landing of each skill, as well as the overall performance and presentation of the routine.
On the power tumbling event, gymnasts perform fast-paced tumbling passes consisting of a series of connected acrobatic skills such as round-offs, handsprings, somersaults, twists, and combinations of these elements. Judges assess the difficulty, execution, form, height, and landing of each skill, as well as the overall speed, power, and rhythm of the tumbling routine.
